My Favorite Monster Cookie Recipe

Monster cookies are a favorite around our house and they don’t seem to last long. There is nothing like a mug of cold milk and a few cookies to dip into it for a great bedtime snack.  They take a few minutes longer to mix up because there are so many ingredients and you need a really big container to mix them in but they are worth the extra effort.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of margarine that has been sitting out and is softened
  • 2 lbs of brown sugar
  • 3 lbs of peanut butter.  You can use any kind cream, chunky or a combination of the two.
  • 1 Tbsp of corn syrup
  • 4 cups of white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp of vanilla.
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 8 tsps of baking soda
  • 12 eggs
  • 18 cups of oatmeal
  • 1 lb of M&M candies
  • 1 lb of chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Cream together the margarine and brown sugar.
  2. Add the peanut butter, corn syrup, and white sugar and mix well.
  3. Add the vanilla, salt, and soda and mix it again.
  4. Add the eggs two at a time mixing after each pair are added.
  5. Finally add the oatmeal, M&M’s, and chocolate chips and thoroughly mix the dough one last time.
  6. Use an ice cream scoop to drop them on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake them on 350 for 12 to 15 minutes. Tip: Don’t overcook them they set up as they cool.
  7. If you prefer smaller cookies you can adjust the size and baking time.
