Monster cookies are a favorite around our house and they don’t seem to last long. There is nothing like a mug of cold milk and a few cookies to dip into it for a great bedtime snack. They take a few minutes longer to mix up because there are so many ingredients and you need a really big container to mix them in but they are worth the extra effort.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of margarine that has been sitting out and is softened
- 2 lbs of brown sugar
- 3 lbs of peanut butter. You can use any kind cream, chunky or a combination of the two.
- 1 Tbsp of corn syrup
- 4 cups of white sugar
- 1 Tbsp of vanilla.
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 8 tsps of baking soda
- 12 eggs
- 18 cups of oatmeal
- 1 lb of M&M candies
- 1 lb of chocolate chips
Directions:
- Cream together the margarine and brown sugar.
- Add the peanut butter, corn syrup, and white sugar and mix well.
- Add the vanilla, salt, and soda and mix it again.
- Add the eggs two at a time mixing after each pair are added.
- Finally add the oatmeal, M&M’s, and chocolate chips and thoroughly mix the dough one last time.
- Use an ice cream scoop to drop them on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake them on 350 for 12 to 15 minutes. Tip: Don’t overcook them they set up as they cool.
- If you prefer smaller cookies you can adjust the size and baking time.
