Chocolate Upside Down Cake

This chocolate cake recipe is really easy and tastes so rich and smooth you will have to try it yourself to believe it.

Your friends and family will think you slaved away on this awesome dessert. It is good warm or cold, but my family loves it a little warm with a glass of cold milk on the side.

I have served this for club luncheon’s and always get lots of compliments and requests for the recipe.

Chocolate Upside Down Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons of cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons of butter
  • 3/4 cups of milk
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (I prefer walnuts)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

Directions:

Sift the dry ingredients together then add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Pour it into an 8 x 8 pan.

Cake  Pudding Topping

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa

Directions:

In another bowl beat together the above ingredients and then pour over the batter you already have in your pan. Bake it for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
