Pumpkin cake recipe that is as easy to make as it is yummy. Just 5 minutes of prep time with this 8 ingredient recipe. It will be a family favorite.
Ingredients:
- 15 ounce can of pumpkin
- 12 ounce can of evaporated milk
- Just over a tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice
- 1 cup of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 package of yellow cake mix (you can use spice but I like yellow better)
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup of butter, 1 1/2 frozen stick works best
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350
- Mix pumpkin, milk, pumpkin pie spice, sugar, and eggs in a large bowl.
- Pour into a 9 x 13 pan that has been greases and floured.
- Evenly sprinkle cake mix over the top. and chopped pecans on top.
- Thinly slice the butter/margarine and place on top of cake mix.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
- Bake for 1 hour. Pumpkin cake best when served warm with whipped cream.
