Delicious and Easy Pumpkin Cake Recipe

Pumpkin cake recipe that is as easy to make as it is yummy. Just 5 minutes of prep time with this 8 ingredient recipe. It will be a family favorite.


  • 15 ounce can of pumpkin
  • 12 ounce can of evaporated milk
  • Just over a tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 package of yellow cake mix (you can use spice but I like yellow better)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup of butter, 1 1/2 frozen stick works best


  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Mix pumpkin, milk, pumpkin pie spice, sugar, and eggs in a large bowl.
  3. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan that has been greases and floured.
  4. Evenly sprinkle cake mix over the top. and chopped pecans on top.
  5. Thinly slice the butter/margarine and place on top of cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
  7. Bake for 1 hour. Pumpkin cake best when served warm with whipped cream.
