What Is the Seventh Amendment to the Constitution of the United States?

Civil jury trial rights – 1791

“In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.”

Basically this amendment is saying if you are suing someone in court you have the right to have a trial by jury as long as you are seeking compensation of at least $20.00.
